These terms cover your use of innovatorswithin.com, the Tiny Leadership Stories newsletter, and The Fireside, our private library for active coaching clients. They are written in plain language because we would rather you read them. By using the site, subscribing, or signing in to The Fireside, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use these services.
These terms do not replace any coaching or engagement agreement between you (or your organization) and Innovators Within. If the two ever conflict, the engagement agreement governs the coaching relationship and these terms govern the website and The Fireside.
Who may use The Fireside
The Fireside is available to active coaching clients of Innovators Within. Access is granted by email address and a one-time sign-in link; there is no password. Your access is personal to you. Please do not share sign-in links or let others use your access, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has. When your coaching engagement ends, your access ends with it.
Using the site well
We ask that you use the site and The Fireside as they are intended. Please do not:
- Attempt to gain access you have not been given, or interfere with how the site works.
- Copy, scrape, or download content in bulk, or use automated tools to do so.
- Republish, sell, or distribute Fireside materials outside the permission described below.
- Use the contact or issue-reporting tools to send anything unlawful, abusive, or unrelated to their purpose.
Our content and your permission to use it
Everything on the site and in The Fireside is owned by Innovators Within, LLC or used with permission: the writing, the Leadership Distinctions, the frameworks, tools, workbooks, workshop materials, recordings, and the design of the site itself. Tiny Leadership Stories, The Fireside, and Innovators Within are our names and marks.
If you are a Fireside member, you may use the materials for your own development and within your own leadership work, including sharing a framework with your team when it helps them. You may not resell the materials, publish them, use them to build a competing program, or present them as your own. If you are unsure whether a use is within these bounds, ask; we are usually glad to say yes.
Newsletter readers are welcome to forward Tiny Leadership Stories to colleagues and to quote from it briefly with attribution.
What you share with us
If you send us feedback, an issue report, or a story, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use it to improve the site and, in the case of feedback, to inform our work. We will not publish anything you send us in a way that identifies you without asking first.
Links and third-party services
The site links to and relies on services run by others, including our email, scheduling, and hosting providers, and to books, articles, and resources we recommend. We choose them with care, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their terms.
A word about coaching content
The materials on this site and in The Fireside are offered to support your thinking and your leadership. They are not legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for it. Leadership decisions are yours, made in your own context, and the outcomes of those decisions are your responsibility.
No warranties
We work to keep the site and The Fireside accurate, available, and safe, but we provide them as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any particular content will remain available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Innovators Within, LLC and its members and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site, the newsletter, or The Fireside. Our total liability for any claim relating to these services will not exceed one hundred dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending or suspending access
We may suspend or end access to the site or The Fireside if these terms are broken, if we need to for security reasons, or if the service changes or is discontinued. Fireside access also ends when a coaching engagement ends, as described above. Where practical, we will let you know.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by conversation will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Saratoga County, New York, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and if a change materially affects Fireside members we will tell them directly. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
